I’m a HUGE DIY-er Royals,

On a recent trip to an antique store, I was inspired to start taking old items and drenching them in vibrant color. Later on that day, I’m looking around the porch of my mother’s store and I see an old rusty frame with a picture of the Kennedy’s and Martin Luther King , Jr. wedged in between them. It belong to my great aunt and dates back to around the 1960′s. At first glance, it was kind of….eww. There’s no other way to say it! But when you’re searching for inspiration, it comes!

All of a sudden, I noticed that it had the most FABULOUS design. And that I could turn it into something great. Now the only question is: Do I paint it pink or plum? Well as you can see, I decided on plum. I’m thinking when I move into my new place that’s what I want my pop color to be. After getting a local man to cut a mirror to fit my frame, I have the one kick-a** piece of home decor!!

Re-purpose Royally,

J.Clarice

My “NEW” antique mirror!!!

I’m so proud of my little project! So what about you? Take on any DIY’s lately? If so, leave me a comment below and post a pic to my Facebook page! I want to see!
